Therapeutic Art Workshop (2nd Dec)
£40 (3 hour workshop) - buy tickets
The Art Room (Redruth) | Wed 2nd Dec, 10am-1pm
This longer workshop is a great way to get familiar with the two forms of Therapeutic Art that we offer. We’ll spend a good chunk of time with each practice so that you can really get a feel for them both.
Embodied Drawing: Through guided visualisations and meditations, Hilary will lead you through some expressive drawing and scribbling practices to find shapes, patterns and rhythms that connect with and release stuck emotions. You will also have time to explore using paint on your hands as a way to soothe the nervous system and help the body reconnect with feelings of safety. Most people find this a liberating and satisfying experience!
Process Painting: Henri will encourage you to listen to and respect your intuition and anything that simply comes to you without caring about the finished result. This can be a very freeing, meditative and often insightful way of painting. Painting over a longer session (rather than the short taster workshops) gives a little more time to really explore and connect with what wants to come through.
No art experience or creative talent necessary (it is the doing that is important, not the final product!)
Gentle guided practices that offer a playful, relaxed approach to using art to explore our inner worlds
All art materials provided
There will be a couple of short breaks where you can grab a cuppa
Small group (max 12 people) - virtually all interaction will be between the individual and the facilitator, so no need to feel scared/shy
Held at The Art Room in Redruth - it’s a fab space, down at the bottom of the high street. More details when you book!
